I would like to know when the Newgrounds collections like Politics and Clock Crew will get updated. Not with new stuff, but stuff that are "Most popular recommendations."

Probably won't be able to get an answer, but just in case. It can't hurt to ask.

Anywayz, a few years ago I came across Youtube videos by a one, DrSmoov.

So yeah I want to make something like these. Not with Transformers or Joe or anything like that. It won't be a cartoon. I've done a lot of weird shit in the past that I get all kinds of grief for, especially my clock stuff, so I'm used to it.

I know some people here don't think much of these sort of things and unfairly rate them because they aren't "flash" and it "doesn't belong on Newgrounds."

Well, here's the thing. Anything that can get on a swf file and passes judgment technically "belongs here." So long as it doesn't abuse the submission rules. In which case, hey it's partially users fault for not blowing the whistle on it.

Still, I get where you are coming from, and in your own strange way you are only trying to protect the standards of this site- hahahaHAHA excuse me. I guess that's sorta admirable, yet, you should know it's also a waste of time.

I can draw, I can animate (badly) so I'm not worried about criticism about taking an easy way out.

When you count the script (which I have already written) screen capturing (partially done), the voice acting, the video editing and converting, that's still, I imagine, going to be a lot of work involved. Not an easy thing at all. And I likely won't produce just one but two or 3 shorts.

Why am I thinking of doing this? Because it's an experiment. It's something I've never done before and I did say, I wanted to take it easy (I can pretend it is).

I don't like Youtube but I would also like to make something that is more accessible to other multimedia sites and not just Newgrounds.

A lot of my work has been NG heavy for years, admittedly, and I want to move far away from that and the in jokes that go with it.

For the 3 of you who care this won't mean I will stop making traditional flash but I probably won't be doing any for a while.

I don't want to rush this so don't expect it anytime soon. I'll let you know.

Another couple of people that I probably should mention as inspiration for this venture is Mithrandir and thegreypilgrim.

What I plan to do, may, resemble their stuff on Newgrounds. But I will be very, careful not to completely emulate them, (I certainly hope not) only some of their techniques such as the repeat sound bites. I want the editing to be more on par to DRSMOOV you tube videos. But with way less captures to lower file size.

If you still care after reading all this, go ahead and ask me questions. I don't mind being more specific.

Let's hear your adventures on Newgrounds! Here's mine! I posted on the front page to talk about my new movie and the majority of my comments come from people I already know. A few days later I get a new comment but it turns out to be an ad for someones collab. Funny thing is he didn't know i did all the main character's voices in my flash. I guess you don't know I've been doing this type of thing for years.

Now, I'm not saying I feel totally ignored. For instance i think that i have gotten a great amount of views for Welcome to Jokergrounds. especially considering that it wasn't even showcased. I can't deny that my score goes down every day as well. So someone is indeed watching!!! ;)

Anyway on a lighter note, after being bombarded by reminders of the Dark Knight's existence and how much i should go see it and how great it is I finally caved in to the hype and saw it yesterday. Here's my in-depth review I drew, lovingly with the flash program.

Not sure I have much more to say but all the cool kids are doing it so why not post on the front page too? My new movie doesn't have Solid Snake in it or Foamy complaining about babies and Mexicans but who knows? You might enjoy it.

Thanks to a lot of you for giving me so many kind comments that were very encouraging and also for the advice.

It reached a score of around the high 3.90's at the start which is probably the best score I have ever received at the time of submission even though it dropped later. Even when I submitted a movie on Clock day it never got near that high! Believe that or not it's true.

Anywayz, I also won an award which hasn't happened in years since the movies I made on my clock account errr, never really got the "vote 5" love there. :/ Too bad too, I would of loved to post on the front page with that account as I think my random comments are better then these.

On a final note, like the score, much of the feedback goes from extreme praise to complete revulsion. So in retrospect, same old same old.

How's life?

Ok ok. So a long time ago in a internet far, far away I was working on a movie with the Joker in it. That was years ago and I let it gather dust. Recently, I decided to finish what I started the same as I did when I went back to working on The Burning.

Anyway the problem with working on old flash is you take one look at them and you wonder what you must of been on to put something together in such a poor way that takes more work to produce and well kiddies, doesn't animate very well!

However, I had no choice but to once again work with some of the prehistoric methods I had in order to get anywhere with it.

I'm afraid ultimately, that when this does come out it will look half assed. Which bugs me because it still takes a whole lot of my time. It must be the way I go about it.

I am the slowest author in the world! Anyone who uses flash should appreciate the effort that goes into an artists work. Unless it's just me and it's easy for everyone else! But anyway, perhaps you all can keep that in mind the next time you judge a movie.

Where was I? Oh. I was never good at animating. I think I am capable at this point, of producing something with a higher FPS, smoother or half way pleasing yet I have never gotten the opportunity to or felt the need.

On the upside my art for this movie will be a whole lot better then the animation. I don't even know how many times I have redrew or recolored some characters. I can be bloody obsessive with little details even if it doesn't always show.

Also one more negative crack cause even on Newgrounds I'm my worse critic, I am still whoring the crap out of a ton of mediums partly because that's how I started working on it and partly because with the awkward animation I may have to make some sacrifices just to get this out.

Now, I've said before humor and story is important to me. I'm aware most of you do not see it that way. You want a quick laugh without having to think too hard. No offense you're sorta the audience Hollywood makes garbage like Meet the Spartans and Epic Movie for.

Anyway, yeah I do parody. Parody Paradox Productions is possibly the gayest thing I've ever come up with but it's old so I keep it for nostalgia. Does that mean I put out things that are hip and cool for the ease and popularity of it? No. Maybe in the past but not now. Even if I did, something tells me it would still do bad anyway. Hahaa.

Nope. I do things that I like and frankly get easily put off by the latest trends especially ones I feel there is just too much exposure for. Even if I happen to like something a great deal I can still get sick of its blatant over use. I've never easily gone with the flow. You'll probably be amazed how many things you enjoy that I hate with a passion!

So that's what scares me a bit. I am thinking that this flash although having absolutely nothing to do with the new Batman movie, maybe finished around that time. It's an ironic coincidence that it may happen this way and nothing more.

I don't want to sponge off the latest craze and I like to earn what I get. I would hate for it to be compared to the movie as well. However, I have no problem if it was compared to the Animated Series which is more my intent. So I've not yet decided to put my flash out during that time. If it does get done by then I mean.

Err .... No one's going to read this are they?

Ever since I submitted Ducktales : Loose Change 1 and 2 I've noticed I wasn' t getting any commentary for my work anymore. Spam gets more reviews! Idiots. Spammers want attention. That's the whole point. Vote 0 and ignore them if you don't like it!

And before you say, well those Ducktales movies have good scores, that's just because my brother votes on them every day for some reason among some of my other movies (probably anything of mine above a 3.80). It's a bloated score from something originally around 3.30. Scores are irrelevant, anyway. I prefer feedback.

Reviews used to be my favorite thing even the stupid ones. Now, no one gives them. Are you afraid you'll be banned or deleted? Sure it happens sometimes. Just follow the guidelines! Does anyone even know what those are? Here's a hint, there are 8 of them. I wonder if you know, because it's not like a link in the FAQ shows up for them on this site anymore. If a mod deletes your review anyway, well you tried and it's not your fault! No excuse.

You've got to start being more fair with flash that are clever, and took time, thought and effort to make because you're not motivating artists to try by hyping the latest pixel fad and you're certainly not motivating me to put in the extra work to submit the movie I made a preview for. You just make me feel like I should dump it in the portal as is because no one will notice anyway and it will do just as poorly either way.

Do you really want everything on Newgrounds to be the same? Should everything I do have limbless grey stickmen in them beating each other to death? Would you like it if I did that?

Wake up! I've been lurking hear since at least 2000 and no offense but the mentality of the typical newgrounds viewer has always been the worst part about this site, but the shear amount of them in a sad, demented kind of way, always made up for it. Now it's like nobody cares for anything but shitty jokes and scribbled drawings of Solid Snake. In short, for me there's no point in submitting a movie if I don't get reviews.

I even submitted my movie to Deviant Art. DEVIANT art of all places! That's how far you've made me sink.

Do you lesser known artists feel you are getting some beneficial exposure, or is Newgrounds still content in flocking to the same tired, already well known authors and gimmicks?
